Closing the game client after being attacked by a monster.

I encountered a problem with the martysamy files. I compiled and ran everything, but after logging in when I attack a monster, the client automatically closes. Syserr is clean. What could be causing this? Has anyone had a similar problem?

This can be caused due to multiple things, it's impossible to help you without having more information. If you can, please debug the server and the client and see why you're getting disconnected. If you can't use debugging tools your chances might be a grain of salt.
